Two-year-old Rocket was named Best in Show on Saturday. Char said he also is the No. 1-ranked dog of all breeds in Hawaii and is also ranked 10th for his breed in the country. Each of his eyes is half blue and half brown, he sleeps in an air-conditioned kennel and he is a fourth-generation product of her breeding program.

Named Reserve Best in Show was Paradocs True Grit, a Labrador retriever; Larwenz Happy Go Lucky, a golden retriever, received High in Trial recognition. The dog show is scheduled to continue today with obedience trials beginning at 8 a.m. and confirmations trials at 10 a.m. Admission is free.
