Elden Ring is a massive open world action RPG brimming with gruesome and extremely challenging enemies, which FromSoftware games are notoriously famous for.
To overcome many obstacles which Elden Ring's world throws at you, you will need powerful weapons, magic abilities and incantations, depending on the playstyle you prefer. For melee-based characters, one such powerful weapon is the Meteoric Ore Katana, and here's how you can get it early in Elden Ring.
Meteoric Ore Katana in Elden Ring
You will find the Meteoric Ore Katana in the Caelid region of Elden Ring. To get there early on in the game, you must go to the Dragon-Burnt Ruins, which is South of The First Step grace, where opening the chest would teleport you to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Caelid.
The Sellia Crystal Tunnel is brimming with overpowered enemies, so we recommend that you sprint outside and find the nearest grace. From here, you must go to the Caelid Waypoint Ruins, which is South-West of the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, and the Streets of Sages Ruins, where you get the Meteorite Staff.
In the Caelid Waypoint Ruins, seek an underground entrance that is guided by a single enemy. The underground area is actually a tomb, and, as such, is brimming with undead enemies. We recommend sprinting to the opposite end of the underground tomb to find another room with a chest. Alternatively, you can also use Torrent the horse to traverse quickly inside the tomb. Now would also be a good time to use Spirit Ashes and distract the enemies nearby.
Once inside the next room, open the chest to claim the Meteoric Ore Katana and quickly make your way back outside before you're obliterated by the hordes of undead.
As mentioned before, the Meteoric Ore Katana is an extremely powerful weapon that does high slashing damage and magic damage. However, to make it the most effective in combat, you need 15 Strength and 18 Intelligence attributes.
That concludes our guide on getting the Meteoric Ore Katana in Elden Ring. Make sure to check our dedicated Elden Ring section for more news, guides, and features.
